Outdoor Recreation, Community Events, Family Activities, and Parks

Osceola boasts a wealth of activities.

Osceola Parks and Recreation offers year-round youth sports and an ever-expanding collection of parks throughout the community. It is also the home of a community center with workout rooms, basketball courts, and an indoor walking track. For a more relaxing approach, hit the greens at the Osceola Municipal Golf Course, home of several golf tournaments as well as programs for beginners.

The Mississippi County Library System also has ongoing programs for all ages that are available to the public at no cost, including a diverse, educational summer program.

But if the great outdoors is your thing, we’ve got you covered. San Souci Park offers a great panoramic view of the Mississippi River, as well as a Game & Fish Commission boat ramp and covered pavilions perfect for picnics.

We also offer a variety of entertaining events for the whole family held throughout the year, including the Osceola Heritage Music Festival, Fourth of July fireworks display, and Christmas parade.

In addition to everything in Osceola, the community is just a short drive to Big Lake and Wapanocca Wildlife Refuges, the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home, a fully restored classic Greyhound Bus Station, and around an hour from the cities of Jonesboro and Memphis.
